Our lives changed forever! We welcomed Lily Elane and Luke Andrew into our family and went from the three of us (where we pretended to have some control) to a family of five (utterly out of control). In some ways the time has flown and in other ways it feels like the longest two years of our lives. I can not imagine what life would be like without L & L, talking to Jack this morning I confirmed that he doesn’t even remember a day without them in our family. We love them so much! I won’t lie- I am happy that these years and “stages” have passed. Things are so much easier now that they can walk and talk and all play together. I will cherish the new changes to come and continue to thank my God for the sweet sweet blessings He has given us in twins! (I probably couldn’t have honestly said that two years ago- I was still saying, “What, Twins, What?”:) Our lives are all so much richer because they are here. I “borrowed” this quote from my friend Juna’s blog- it sums up my feelings today.
Two faces to wash, and four dirty hands. Two insistent voices, making demands. Twice as much crying, when things go wrong. Four eyes closing, with slumber song. Twice as many garments, blowing on the line. Two cherubs in the wagon, soaking up sunshine. Work I do for twins, naturally comes double. But four arms to hug me, repay all my trouble. Author Unknown
