Grandma Day

Please lift our family up in prayer~ Nathaniel’s Grandma Day has passed away. Although we rejoice that she is finally home, we will miss her dearly. When I think of Grandma Day, I can’t help but “picture” her behind the lens of her camera. Capturing the beauty in people and in the things around her, all of God’s creation. Whether she was in the bleachers cheering on one of her grandchildren at a sporting event, or at a family gathering, or on the farmland just outside her window she called home- she found splendor and froze it for a moment in time with her photographs. Trusting that the goodbye is just for now as we cling to the promise in scripture~ of sorrow that will turn into joy. As Jesus explains to disciples “So you have pain now; but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” John 15:22 I want to be there with my family now, not half-way around the world, to scoop them up in a hug and to kiss their faces. Yet He whispers to me here, “I’ve got them, I’ve got Grandma Day, I’ve got you,” And that becomes perfect and that becomes enough. Thanks for your love & prayers~ blessings tonight from under my mosquito net in Uganda!

  1. Anne, you and your family are in our prayers. It is good to rejoice when a saint goes to glory! She is seeing the true splendor in heaven! We are praying for doors to open for you in Uganda. Love to you and your family! Terry and Sherrie Mars
